Hüsrev İsfendiyaroğlu
Hüsrev İsfendiyaroğlu studied at the Music Departmant of
Gazi University between 1975 and 1978. He became Carlo Domeniconi’s student in
Istanbul. In 1986 he studied with Jose Luis Rodrigo in the master class of
Andres Segovia in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He attended many workshops in
Europe (such as Marco Socias) and Guitarras del Mundo 97 International Guitar
Festival in Argentina. The CD of this festival includes an arrangement of
Orient Express of Carlo Domeniconi by Hüsrev İsfendiyaroğlu. He taught
1997-2000 at the Music Department of Bilgi University and he is currently the
Head of the Müjdat Gezen Art Center Guitar Department. For the past 10 years he
has been organizing several International Guitar Days, workshops and master
classes in Turkey. He plays old and new Latin American melodies as tangos and
milongas at his solo concerts.
